About & Editorial Standards

Return to the front page

Rally Point News is an independently operated, AI-assisted news aggregation and live-timeline service. Its purpose is to give readers a fast view of significant developing stories and a finite, chronological way to follow each story without reconstructing it from a pile of articles.

Rally Point has a conservative editorial orientation, but its automated importance and breaking-news systems are designed to use news-value signals such as consequence, public safety, institutional significance, independent-source breadth, and freshness rather than whether coverage favors or disfavors a political party, candidate, officeholder, or policy position.

How the front page works

Rally Point collects publicly available publisher feeds, groups headlines that appear to concern the same developing story, and orders those story groups using signals such as recency, the number of independent publishers covering the story, and indicators of public significance. The site is designed to update as stories develop.

The homepage and timelines are designed to separate source attribution from Rally Point’s own presentation. Headlines and source links identify the publisher responsible for the underlying reporting, while Rally Point organizes those reports into story clusters and material developments.

Sources and attribution

Headlines on the front page link to the publisher that produced the underlying article. Publisher names are displayed with coverage links. Rally Point does not claim ownership of linked publishers' reporting, headlines, photographs, or opinions.

Multiple links may be shown for the same developing story so readers can examine coverage from more than one publisher. Inclusion of a source or headline does not mean Rally Point endorses every claim or opinion in that source.

Live timelines

When a story has sufficient independent coverage, Rally Point creates a permanent live timeline for it. New source reports are added in chronological order, repeated coverage is reduced, and every development remains linked to its originating publisher. Timeline entries summarize publisher headlines; they are not represented as independent Rally Point reporting.

Selection and automation

Feed collection, story clustering, freshness checks, importance ranking, duplicate reduction, timeline creation, and publication are automated. No human editor reviews every item before it appears. Automated grouping can make mistakes, particularly during fast-moving stories. Source breadth is used as a signal of significance and corroboration, but the existence of multiple headlines is not itself proof that every factual claim in those headlines is correct.

Corrections

If a headline is incorrectly grouped, attributed, linked, or presented, Rally Point may correct or remove it as the underlying feeds and story groupings are updated. Material issues brought to the publication's attention should be reviewed against the original publisher material before a correction is made.

Ownership and independence

Rally Point News is independently operated. Publishers linked on the site do not control Rally Point's story grouping or front-page placement merely because their material appears in the Wire.

Contact

When a public contact channel is available, questions about attribution, corrections, or site operation should include the headline and destination link so the item can be identified accurately. Rally Point does not currently publish a dedicated corrections inbox on this page.
