Privacy

This page explains, in plain language, the main ways Rally Point News and the services it uses may process information when you visit the site.

Last updated: September 19, 2026.

Rally Point News does not intentionally sell personal information. The site is built as a largely static publication, and subscriber email addresses are not stored in the public website repository.

Site analytics

Rally Point News uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, such as page views, sessions, device type, approximate geographic region, referral source, and interactions with site features. Google may set or read cookies or similar identifiers as part of that service.

Advertising and third-party services

The site includes Google AdSense account configuration and may display advertising if and when advertising is activated. Advertising and analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies. Rally Point also links to third-party news publishers; once you leave Rally Point News, the destination site's policies apply.

Information you send directly

If you contact Rally Point News directly, the information in your message may be used to respond, evaluate a correction, or review a news tip. Do not send highly sensitive personal information through ordinary email.

Optional story email alerts

If the email-alert pilot is enabled and you explicitly request an alert for a followed story, your address is sent to Rally Point’s private notification service, encrypted at rest, and used only for confirmation and material story alerts you requested. Email follows are separate from browser-local follows. Every alert includes controls to stop one story or all alerts, and delivery records may be retained to prevent duplicates, honor suppressions, and protect sender reputation.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as Rally Point News adds or removes services. Material changes should be reflected on this page with a revised update date.

This notice is intended as a straightforward description of current site practices, not as a promise that third-party providers will never change their own systems or policies.
